During a meeting with Ukrainian teachers and educators, the Head of State congratulated education professionals on their professional holiday and thanked them for their daily work, which is especially important amid the full-scale war. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that, despite the challenges, kindergartens, schools, and universities continue to operate across Ukraine. According to him, the preservation of education is essential for the life of communities, their development, and the future of the country.
“When our education system is preserved, cities continue to function, villages truly remain alive, and there is a future for our country, a future for our citizens, and a future for every community,” the President noted.
The Head of State also emphasized that it is through upbringing, culture, and education that a person’s character and values are shaped, as well as their readiness to defend their country and the resilience of Ukrainian society.
This year, state awards were presented to six representatives of lyceums within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
The Medal “For Labor and Valor” was awarded to:
🔹 Liliia Lisova – Educational Organizer at the Oleksandr Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Since the establishment of the lyceum, Liliia Lisova has worked to ensure that education and personal development go beyond the classroom. She founded and leads the “Malvy” creative club, which brings together several areas of creative activity — a vocal ensemble, a choreography studio, and an extracurricular course in ethnographic decoration.
For lyceum students, this is an opportunity to explore different forms of creativity, discover their own talents, and simply experience a different pace after their academic classes. Singing, dancing, and working with traditional elements of Ukrainian decorative art have become an integral part of the lyceum’s educational environment.
The ethnographic component holds a special place in the club’s activities. Through creative work, students become acquainted with Ukrainian traditions, ornaments, and decorative arts, learning to see them not only as elements of the past, but also as a part of contemporary Ukrainian culture.
Liliia Lisova performs her duties conscientiously and professionally and enjoys the respect of the lyceum’s administration, colleagues, and students.
Her work is about creating a space where students can not only study, but also sing, dance, create with their own hands, and discover Ukrainian culture. Sometimes it is through this kind of creativity that the lyceum becomes a place students want to return to — not only for their lessons.
🔹 Tetiana Zelinska – Teacher at the Yaroslav Kondratiev Kyiv Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

🔹 Yuliia Izrailova – Deputy Director of the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

🔹 Iryna Opareniuk – Teacher at the Nazarii Hryntsevych Vinnytsia Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Lviv State University of Life Safety.

🔹 Vira Chubenko – Teacher at the Andrii Pryimaсhenko Ivano-Frankivsk Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The Order of Princess Olga, Third Class, was awarded to:
🔹 Inna Mashchenko – Teacher at the General Secondary Education Institution of the Pedagogical Support Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Military Lyceum.

Congratulations to the educators on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your daily work, which helps shape the future of our country!
