Safety knowledge becomes especially valuable when it can be properly applied in practice.
The Dnipro Lyceum of Security Education and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine held a practical training session on response procedures in the event of emergency situations.
Representatives of the state emergency service of Ukraine and the patrol police took part in the training.

The aim of the training was to develop practical safety skills among the lyceum students and to practice a clear sequence of actions in the event of threats, particularly those associated with wartime risks.

During the practical training session, the lyceum students practiced:
responding to alarm and emergency notification signals;
evacuating buildings along designated routes;
securing and isolating hazardous areas;
inspecting premises;
practical use of fire extinguishing equipment;
providing first aid to injured persons.

Particular attention during the training was paid to coordinated actions, adherence to the established sequence of procedures, and the ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances. Following the emergency notification signal, the lyceum students carried out the required procedures in an organized manner and demonstrated a practical understanding of the established safety protocols.

Conducting such training is an important component of security education. Practical training in emergency response procedures helps develop essential skills, enhance preparedness to act in emergency situations, and minimize risks to life and health.
For lyceum students who intend to pursue careers in the security and defence sector, the ability to act quickly, clearly, and responsibly is an integral part of their professional training.
