Biker’s Advice for Schoolchildren

During wartime, it is crucial to be able to save lives. Useful skills are interesting not only to adults, but especially to schoolchildren. In dynamic stories, “Biker” - a combat medic and paramedic of the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine - together with two students from a Kyiv school, Ivan and Sashko, will explore possible emergency situations. Through concrete examples, they will demonstrate how to act in various scenarios, stay composed, and provide timely assistance to victims before medical help arrives.

Topic 1

  • We analyze a possible situation where a stranger in a park suddenly faints, loses consciousness, and falls to the ground and what an ordinary schoolchild should do in this case, his step-by-step actions to provide help until medics arrive.

Topic 2

  • Why it is necessary and how to perform it. For example, how many chest compressions per minute should be done when saving a person.

Topic 3

  • Where to find a defibrillator in case of an emergency? How to use it properly?

Topic 4

  • What to do and how to act if a passerby suddenly experiences a seizure? How not to harm the person, what unnecessary actions to avoid, and how to assist until the ambulance arrives.

Topic 5

  • What is the recovery position? Why is it important for a victim who has experienced a sudden seizure or epileptic reaction?

Topic 6

  • For instance, your friend or a stranger chokes, cannot breathe, and is on the verge of losing consciousness. What should you do to save them?

Topic 7

  • It seems simple: dial three digits, press the emergency number (112 or 103) on a smartphone, and wait for help. However, the actual algorithm of actions is slightly different and much more effective.
