The event was organized with the assistance of the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity at DSUIA.

At the beginning of the event, Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Organization of Scientific Work Olena SHKURKO noted that every higher education applicant or pupil has had to speak in front of an audience, therefore the ability or, conversely, inability to deliver public speeches plays an important role both in their life and in the educational process, as it affects how the speaker is perceived by others and how they are evaluated.

Secretary of the Scientific Society, cadet of group DR-344 Ilona BUYAKOVA told those present about the problem of the first impression from a speech and provided advice on how to make this impression positive. Yuliia TOLMACHOVA, head of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Institutions, cadet of group DR-343, prepared a report on nonverbal means of communication with the audience, their functions and use for successful influence on listeners.
Deputy Head of the Scientific Society Mariia SYDORENKO, higher education applicant of study group YUD-341, informed those present about the verbal possibilities of the speaker’s influence on the audience, noting that one can conduct in-depth research, but it becomes convincing only when presented confidently, structured and clearly.
Pupils and higher education applicants present at the training had the opportunity not only to listen to reports accompanied by vivid presentations, but also to watch meaningful videos and perform interesting and useful exercises.

The acquired knowledge and skills young people will be able to use in their studies and scientific activities, in particular during classes, defense of coursework and competition papers, as well as in the preparation of speeches and during their delivery at circle meetings, scientific-practical conferences, etc.
