The admission campaign has been completed at the Dnipro Lyceum of    Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

   The entrance examinations were organized in accordance with the established procedure and consisted of several consecutive stages.

   The selection of candidates began with an assessment of their physical fitness, which was conducted in two stages.

   At the first stage, participants demonstrated their speed and strength. In particular, they completed a 30-meter sprint as well as strength exercises: boys performed pull-ups, while girls performed push-ups from a bench.

   The second stage focused on assessing endurance. Candidates completed running distances in accordance with the established standards: girls ran 1,000 meters, while boys ran 1,500 meters.

   At the following stages, candidates took examinations in Ukrainian Language and the History of Ukraine. These examinations made it possible to comprehensively assess the candidates’ general educational background, their ability to apply acquired knowledge when completing tasks, as well as the level of development of the essential learning competencies.

   The openness and transparency of the competitive selection process were monitored with the participation of a public observer, Iryna SHCHERBYNA, sister of Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Hostishchev, after whom the lyceum is named.

   Ahead of new lyceum students are the first steps of adaptation, familiarization with the educational process that combines discipline, patriotism, and modern educational approaches.
