In Lviv, at the Leadership Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University, the first module of the basic training course "Training Educators in the Fundamentals of Leadership and Management" took place.
The training was implemented within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between DSUIA and UCU. The course aims to develop key managerial competencies, leadership qualities, effective team interaction, adaptability to change, decision-making skills, personnel management, and organization of the educational process.
Participants of the course included officers, sergeants, and instructors of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as educators shaping the new generation of professionals in the fields of security, medicine, and law enforcement. Among them were representatives of leading military units, including the 4th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Rubizh", the 12th Special Forces Brigade "Azov", the 13th Brigade "Khartia", the 17th Brigade "Raid", the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn OSTROZKYI, and the 152nd Separate Reconnaissance Strike Battalion.
The Lyceum was represented by senior mentors — Police Lieutenant Colonel Anna DZIUBA and Junior Lieutenant Serhii DIDYK.
The course was based on the 3C concept (Character, Competencies, Commitment) and the 11 virtues of a leader’s character. Participants worked with case studies, designed educational programs, and explored practical approaches to managing units and developing personnel. The program also includes ongoing mentorship and the presentation of participants’ educational projects in the fall.
Mentorship was provided by Andrii ROZHDESTVENSKYI (PhD, Executive Director of the UCU Leadership Center, Lecturer at the UCU Business School) and Svitlana BUHAI (CEO of the educational project Scolar, business trainer, and facilitator).
