A team of three athletes represented the Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev at the Dnipropetrovsk Region U-16 Judo Championship. Among them, first-year student Aliona Burdina secured a bronze medal.
The championship gathered over 100 participants born in 2009 or later, representing cities such as Dnipro, Kamianske, Kryvyi Rih, Marhanets, Synelnykove, Samara and Pavlohrad. Male athletes competed in nine weight categories, while female athletes competed in seven.
The Dnipro Lyceum of Security Focus and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev was represented by three first-year students: Aliona Burdina, Denys Nechypurenko and Mykola Kuznetsov.
Following intense matches on the tatami, Aliona Burdina earned a bronze medal. She is now preparing to compete at the Ukrainian Judo Championship in the same age division, which will take place from September 24 to 26 in Bila Tserkva.
