The Head of the National Police of Ukraine, General of Police of the Second Rank Ivan VYHYVSKYI, participated in the events.
This year, approximately one hundred students enrolled in the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev. The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine. Also, all those present honored the fallen with a minute of silence.
During the solemn events, which were held simultaneously in all lyceums, the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor KLYMENKO congratulated the students. He emphasized that each of the students after studying can choose any profession — doctor, teacher, scientist, military, police officer, engineer, rescuer, or artist. The main thing is to grow up free, educated, and happy, as the knowledge, strength of spirit, and talents of the young generation are needed by Ukraine no less than weapons on the front.
“I know that behind the backs of many of you are difficult stories. Some have lost parents, some are waiting for their return, some pray for those who are fighting. We, adults, understand our responsibility to your families. Our duty is to ensure that you have the opportunity to study, develop, and build your own future. This is the least we can do as a sign of gratitude to those who defend Ukraine and in memory of those who gave their lives for our independence,” — emphasized the Minister.
The solemn events were joined by the Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration – Head of the Regional Military Administration Yurii YANDULSKYI, the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region Oleksandr HANZHA, the Head of the Central Territorial Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine Denys SHLEHA, the Deputy Head of the Department of Special Purpose Police “United Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine ‘Liut’,” Artem LYSOGOR, the Deputy Commander of the 3rd Border Guard Detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhenii Pikus, Mykola NAHOTNIUK, and the Rector of DSUIA Oleksandr MORGUNOV.
