The students learned about the work of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Rescuers told the students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev about the specifics of the SESU work.
Rescuers told the lyceum students about the specifics of the SESU work, showed modern equipment that is in service with the unit. The students got acquainted with drones with thermal imagers of the latest generation, the firefighting-rescue robot Magirus Wolf, protective gear, and measuring instruments. All willing lyceum students had the opportunity to climb using a fire ladder.
At the conclusion, the lyceum students were able to feel like participants in the firefighting-rescue services competition “FIREFIGHTER COMBAT CHALLENGE”.
In special firefighting gear, the lyceum students tried to perform the competition exercises: climbing with a load on a ladder to the fourth floor, pulling a rope, overcoming obstacles, using a fire hose, moving a mannequin that represented a conditional victim.

A team of three athletes represented the Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev at the Dnipropetrovsk Region U-16 Judo Championship. Among them, first-year student Aliona Burdina secured a bronze medal.
