On May 16, Ukraine celebrates Science Day — the university joined in the celebration of this occasion.
On May 12, at the initiative of the Department for Scientific Activity Organization, a meeting was held between members of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Applicants and students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev. The event was titled "Youth Science in the World, in Ukraine, and at DSUIA: Challenges and Prospects."
Cadet Lola Nemonova of group DR-246, Secretary of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Applicants, prepared a report and presentation, in which she talked about the development of youth science globally, research activities of Ukrainian youth, and current challenges faced by young scientists. Attendees also watched an informative video about Ukrainian scientists whose inventions changed the world.
Yuliia Tolmachova, Head of the Department for Scientific Work of the Student-Cadet Council and a cadet of group DR-343, presented the scientific and research activities of DSUIA students, complementing her speech with engaging visuals.
At the end of the meeting, Olena Shkurko, Senior Researcher of the Department for Scientific Activity Organization, invited participants to take part in a quiz. Thanks to this interactive format, both higher education applicants and lyceum students demonstrated their knowledge in various scientific fields, showed erudition, and lifted the mood. Science, as a crucial area of social interaction and a key part of the educational process, remains an exciting and engaging aspect of life.
