Within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the field of education and international interaction, students of MIA lyceums visited the capital of Azerbaijan – the city of Baku.

   The lyceum students had the opportunity to expand their worldview, get acquainted with the culture, history and notable places of the country.

   Students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev of the MIA were on an educational visit to Baku for 2 weeks. Together with lyceum students from other cities of Ukraine, they combined a cultural program with cognitive leisure.

   During their stay, the participants visited the National Museum of the History of the Azerbaijani Republic and the Ukrainian Cultural Center. They were also organized a sightseeing walk around Baku, a visit to the Icherisheher historical and architectural reserve, the Maiden Tower, the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, the Arch of Victory, the Park of Military Trophies, the “Surakhani” ship-museum, the Flag Square, etc.

   Nazar BARABASHENKO noted that this trip contributed to the expansion of the lyceum students’ worldview and the improvement of the level of intercultural communication. According to the participants of the trip, such events contribute to the development of international friendship among young people, the expansion of horizons and the upbringing of patriotism through acquaintance with the history and culture of other countries.

   The organizers of the meeting from the Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan for the hospitality and support of Ukrainian lyceum students. Within the framework of the visit, memorable gifts were provided for the participants.
