                  “Mental Trek”: Interactive Exhibition on Mental Health for Students of Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA

                  The organizer of the event was the social pedagogue of the lyceum Svitlana KUSHNIKOVA.

                     For the 1st year students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev of the MIA, an interactive educational exhibition “Mental Trek” was conducted by the team of regional facilitators within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Mental Health for Ukraine”.

                     “Mental Trek” is a modern educational tool that combines educational work with interactive games and mobile educational stands-stations. The main advantages of the method are high interactivity, communicativeness, emotional impact and the ability to cover a large audience at the same time.

                     During the exhibition, the lyceum students visited thematic stations, took part in discussions, performed practical tasks and modeled real-life situations.

                  The key tasks of the event were:

                  ● dissemination of information about the concept of well-being and the importance of mental health;

                  ● explanation of the interconnection between mental and physical health and the need for timely seeking help;

                  ● prevention of the spread among young people of harmful habits and risky behavior;

                  ● development of skills for making balanced independent decisions;

                  ● reduction of stigma and prejudices regarding mental disorders;

                  ● formation of useful behavioral strategies for supporting mental health, etc.

                  Thanks to the interactive format, the lyceum students gained useful knowledge and discussed personal experiences and created their own rules of safe behavior in risky situations.

                     Such events contribute to increasing the psychological awareness of young people, forming a responsible attitude to their own mental health and creating an environment in the lyceum in which issues of well-being are open and important.
