Another training session for the lyceum students was conducted by a representative of the Recruiting Center of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine – an instructor with the call sign “Khimik.”

During the session, participants practiced the algorithm of actions in case of respiratory distress and methods for ensuring airway patency. The instructor demonstrated the technique of placing a casualty in the recovery (stable side) position, as well as the jaw-thrust maneuver to restore airway patency.
Special attention was paid to breathing assessment: students learned how to correctly check for breathing through visual observation and listening. The practical component included hands-on training based on simulated scenarios.

Using one of the students as a model, the instructor demonstrated the procedure for inserting an airway device, providing a detailed explanation of each step. With another participant, he practiced the correct jaw-thrust technique and reviewed the general algorithm for delivering pre-medical aid.

The session was practice-oriented and helped reinforce key life-saving skills required in critical situations. At the end of the course, the students completed a test to assess their level of knowledge acquisition.
