The students visited significant historical and cultural landmarks of the Cherkasy region, took part in a themed campfire gathering, and paid tribute to the legacy of Taras SHEVCHENKO.

As part of the educational program, the students visited the Literary and Memorial Museum of I.S. NECHUY-LEVYTSKYI in Stebliv. During the excursion, they explored the restored house of the writer’s family, familiarized themselves with the exhibition dedicated to his life and creative path, and saw unique items and photographs of the real Kайдаш family, which became the prototype for the characters of the famous novella.

The next stop was the PONIATOWSKI Palace, an architectural gem of the 18th century, which is part of the LOPUKHIN-DEMIDOV palace and park complex in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. Located on KOTSIUBYNSKYI Island, this historical complex is the central site of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi State Historical and Cultural Reserve and an important monument of Ukrainian history.

In the evening, students of the Dnipro and Kyiv MIA lyceums gathered around a traditional campfire. In a friendly atmosphere, participants shared their impressions of the camp, discussed the excursions, and took part in a history quiz. The intellectual activities allowed them to recall important events and figures of Ukrainian history and consolidate knowledge gained during studies and visits to historical sites.
A special atmosphere was created by the literary segment dedicated to Taras SHEVCHENKO. Participants recited poems by the Kobzar, and the evening concluded with a collective performance of the song “Let’s Sing a Song for Ukraine,” which united all those present.

The combination of educational classes, excursions, intellectual activities, and creative events contributes to the comprehensive development of students, fosters national awareness, and deepens understanding of Ukraine’s historical and cultural heritage.
