Students of the O. Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum Compete in a Sports Relay
The event was organized to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day and aimed to promote physical culture and sports among youth, strengthen team spirit and develop moral and psychological resilience in students.
Special guests at the sports event included the Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov and the Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov.
The relay program featured more than 15 strength-based exercises. Lyceum students performed squats, abdominal exercises, planks, push-ups, 6-kg kettlebell snatches and double kettlebell presses in the gym.
The relay continued on outdoor fields, where students competed in long jumps, pull-ups on a horizontal bar and football juggling. The exercise set was designed to develop endurance, strength, coordination and overall physical fitness.
Participants had the opportunity to assess their own capabilities, work on perseverance, focus and mutual support within their teams. The event was held in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere, filled with healthy competition and encouragement.
Those who showed the best results received certificates and commemorative prizes from the lyceum administration.
Such events are an important part of the educational process at the O. Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Endurance, quick reaction, teamwork and the ability to perform under physical pressure are key skills for future law enforcement officers. That is why regular participation in physical activities not only strengthens the body but also builds character.
