The qualifying regional judo championship for boys and girls under 17 has come to an end in Dnipro. Among the winners is Aliona Burdina, a student of the Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev.
The sporting event took place at the Olympic Reserves Sports Complex in Dnipro, bringing together over 150 young judokas from various parts of the region and the city of Zaporizhzhia. Representing the Hostishchev Lyceum were four athletes: Aliona Burdina, Oryna Hladka, Denys Nechyporenko and Mykola Kuznetsov. The boys competed in the under 66 kg weight category, while the girls competed in the under 44 kg and under 52 kg categories, respectively.
The lyceum’s athletes demonstrated a high level of physical training, technical skill and strong sporting spirit, proudly representing their educational institution at the regional level. Following intense matches, Aliona Burdina claimed a confident victory in her category.
Next up for Aliona is preparation for the Ukrainian Judo Championship, which will be held on November 17–19 in Uzhhorod. We congratulate Aliona and wish her strength and inspiration for new athletic achievements!

As part of the forum, a panel discussion was held with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and other government agencies, heads of educational institutions, researchers and experts. The Director of the Lyceum, Kyrylo Nedria, was awarded a badge of distinction from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
