Competitions in giryovy sport (kettlebell lifting) among cadets, students, and pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA took place at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA with the aim of popularizing physical culture and sports, developing applied skills and abilities, fostering moral and psychological qualities, and selecting the best athletes for the university and lyceum teams, etc.


After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a minute of silence in memory of the fallen, the Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov addressed all those present with a speech.
Ihor Kovalov emphasized the importance of physical culture for future law enforcement officers and stressed that the university will in every way support the development of sports talents among higher education applicants.
Teams from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU, the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the NPU, and the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA took part in the competitions.





According to the results of the competitions in the team standings, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place was taken by representatives of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU;

2nd place was won by the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU;

3rd place was taken by the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the NPU.
