A practical and theoretical course on providing pre-medical assistance in combat conditions has begun at the Dnipro Security and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev.

The first training session for the lyceum students was conducted by representatives of the Recruiting Center of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine. Instructors with the call signs “Khimik” and “Shifu” gave detailed explanations on the rules of applying tourniquets, the specifics of using them on different parts of the body, and the algorithm of actions in case of massive bleeding.
The students learned about different types of tourniquets, critical injuries, received explanations regarding the contents of an individual first-aid kit and the principles of its use.

The participants actively engaged in the training, asked questions and demonstrated strong interest in the topic, as the acquired knowledge helps develop essential skills in safety, responsibility and readiness to act in extreme situations.
The TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) course is a system of first aid in high-risk environments developed in the 1980s for the U.S. Army. The protocol is improved every year based on real combat experience, making it one of the most effective pre-medical care standards in the world.
