Olena Zelenska Visits Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The First Lady of Ukraine familiarized herself with the educational process at the newly established MIA Lyceum
During her visit to Dnipropetrovsk region, the First Lady of Ukraine familiarized herself with the educational process at the newly established MIA Lyceum, engaging with students and mentors—experienced veterans who have undergone psychological and pedagogical training.
The Dnipro Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum named after Oleksandr Hostishchev currently enrolls nearly 150 boys and girls. Many of them are children of defenders, including those who have been wounded in the Russo-Ukrainian war, are in captivity, or have lost their lives.
The lyceum’s mentors introduced Olena Zelenska to the academic programs, extracurricular activities, living conditions, and leisure options available to students.
"Students receive training from practical psychologists, rescuers, drone operators, and explosive ordnance disposal specialists. Additional subjects include pre-medical aid, mine safety, and cybersecurity," the First Lady noted after her visit.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko accompanied Olena Zelenska during the visit. She emphasized that this MIA Lyceum is one of five such institutions established by the Ministry this academic year.
"Graduates of these lyceums will have the freedom to choose their future professions. The Ministry's goal is to provide high-quality foundational education and nurture patriotic citizens of Ukraine," stated the Deputy Minister.
On the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, attendees honored the memory of millions who perished due to Nazi atrocities. The event was joined by students from the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Focus and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev.
