DSUIA Cadet Earns Prize in Chess Championship

Veronika PIDOPRYHORA, a student of the Dnipro Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev, secured a bronze medal in a recent chess competition.

   The Chess Championship among MIA security and national-patriotic lyceums was held in Kyiv, where cadets competed for the title of the best players.

   In the individual girls' category, Veronika PIDOPRYHORA from the Dnipro Lyceum took third place.

The team standings were as follows:

1st place – Kyiv Lyceum

2nd place – Khmelnytskyi Border Guard Lyceum

3rd place – Vinnytsia Lyceum

4th place – Dnipro Lyceum

5th place – Ivano-Frankivsk Lyceum

 

   The event was attended by Captain of Police Oleksandr TARASENKO, Director of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the MIA of Ukraine, and Major of Police Yehor NAZYMKO, Deputy Director and Head of the Department of Science, Innovation, and Sports.
