Lyceum students learned more about the development of European values and Ukraine’s path to the EU.
An online seminar titled “United by Values: A Conversation about Ukraine and the EU” was held at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA). Participants included students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Focus and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev, as well as cadets and students of the university.
The event was organized in honor of Europe Day with the participation of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, the Higher School of Public Governance, the DECIDE project, and other partners.
The audience was greeted by representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, state authorities, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the European Parliament, international organizations, higher education institutions, regional professional development centers, and both Ukrainian and international experts.
The seminar focused on the functioning of European institutions, the shared values of the EU and Ukraine, their significance and practical implementation, as well as Ukraine’s steps toward European integration and financial support for aligning Ukrainian legislation with EU standards.
Participants explored the history of European values formation, discussed Ukraine’s institutional capacity on its path to the EU, and emphasized the role of modern educational institutions in the process of European integration and strengthening national resilience through innovative educational approaches.
The seminar became a platform for dialogue on Ukraine’s European future, highlighting its place within the space of shared values.
