Lyceum pupils joined the meeting in online mode.

The event was conducted by the Director of the Lyceum Kyrylo NEDRIA — a participant in the defense of Donetsk Airport, one of the “cyborgs” who was directly present at positions in the airport terminals.

The pupils were told about the chronology of the 242-day defense of the airport, key events, the conditions in which Ukrainian defenders held positions, the significance of this frontier in the modern history of Ukraine, and the symbolic meaning of the phrase “cyborgs”. The lyceum pupils learned about the heroism of the defenders, the losses, resilience, and unbreakable spirit of Ukrainian warriors, who became an example for entire generations.

Such events contribute to a deep understanding of Ukraine’s history, the cultivation of patriotism, respect for the feat of the state’s defenders, as well as help young people realize the price of freedom and independence.
