A meeting of pupils with representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine took place at the lyceum base — employees of the 1st State Fire and Rescue Unit of the 8th State Fire and Rescue Detachment of the Main Directorate of the SES of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

During the event, the lyceum pupils communicated with the Deputy Head of the 1st State Fire and Rescue Unit, Senior Lieutenant of Civil Protection Service Pavlo HAIDUKOV; Squad Commander, Chief Master Sergeant of Civil Protection Service Mykyta RUMIANTSEV; Firefighter-Rescuer, Sergeant of Civil Protection Service Dmytro KOZAK; and Driver, Master Sergeant of Civil Protection Service Yurii BABAKOV.
Representatives of the SES told about the main functions of the service, the specifics of rescuers’ work and key tasks they perform under martial law conditions.
Particular interest was aroused by the presentation of a modern fire truck — tanker AC-2.0-30. The pupils were explained that this is a compact and maneuverable special vehicle designed for prompt delivery of the combat crew, fire-technical equipment and 2000 liters of water and foam concentrate to the site of an emergency. The speakers emphasized that such a tanker is effectively used for extinguishing fires with water and foam in urban conditions, settlements and industrial facilities, as it can operate both from its own tank and from open water bodies or fire hydrants.

The lyceum pupils personally inspected the service vehicle and its equipment. They also saw how special tools work for conducting rescue operations — unlocking jammed doors, rescuing people from damaged vehicles, etc. The meeting took place in the format of an open dialogue, where pupils were able to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers from the rescue team.
