The event was organized by the leadership of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education, in cooperation with representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were introduced to the work of the rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the police officers who serve on the water.
Special attention was given to the organization of the diving service and the cooperation between the police and rescuers. The students were informed about the working conditions of both agencies during rescue operations in the Dnipro River basin and other waterways and bodies of water.
The lyceum students were shown the equipment used for patrolling, learned about the response algorithm to reports of victims, discovered how a special drone is used by rescuers for exploring underwater areas, and saw the signs and gestures divers use to communicate during dives.
The lyceum staff noted that such informative excursions are beneficial for the students' future career orientation. Through these events, students gain a deeper understanding of various aspects of their potential future professions and can choose what appeals to them the most.
