A training session on countering and preventing domestic violence during martial law was held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA). The event took place on the university’s training grounds.

   The moderators of the event were the Rector's Assistant for Gender Issues, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Larisa NALYVAYKO, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure Mykola REPAN.

   Participants included students of the Dnipro Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Oleksandr HOSTISHCHEV, Judge of the Leninsky District Court of Dnipropetrovsk and Doctor of Philosophy in Law Maksym TAUS, Senior Inspector of the Domestic Violence Counteraction Sector of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Captain Lesia ROMANENKO, and trainees from the DSUIA Police Academy’s Primary Police Training Center.

   The lyceum students were introduced to the types of domestic violence, their manifestations and causes, and explored ways to eliminate violent behavior. They were tasked with identifying examples of manifestations for each type of domestic violence.

   Particular interest was sparked by a discussion with Judge Maksym TAUS, which took place in the specialized "Courtroom" training facility. There, participants conducted a mock trial, with lyceum students and Police Academy trainees preassigning roles among themselves.

   Lyceum student Kyrylo KHRYSTYCH successfully performed the role of judge under the guidance of Maksym TAUS, demonstrating the fundamentals of court proceedings in a practical format.

   The training was an important step in developing practical skills among future law enforcement officers and raising awareness about effective methods for combating domestic violence.
