Students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev attended a session dedicated to the specifics of the preventive activities of the police. The event was conducted by the Head of the Prevention Activities Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Serhiy MOROZ.

   Lyceum students learned that the preventive activity of the police consists in the systematic application of measures to prevent offenses, eliminate their causes and conditions, as well as influence individuals prone to unlawful behavior. Serhiy MOROZ explained that the work of prevention police officers covers both general measures, in particular legal education and informing citizens, and special measures, such as preventive registration and administrative supervision. He emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach, coordination of efforts of various entities, and proper legal regulation for effective work.

   Lyceum students familiarized themselves with the main directions of the prevention police’s activities, its role in ensuring public safety, and the procedure for interaction with the community. The meeting contributed to the formation in youth of an understanding of the importance of preventing offenses and a conscious attitude toward legal culture.
