In the Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the optional course “Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety and Vehicle Driving” is ongoing.
The purpose of training is to provide the pupils with basic knowledge and practical skills of safe behavior on the road.
During the classes, the teachers explain the main provisions of the Road Traffic Rules, the rights and obligations of drivers and passengers. Special attention is paid to road signs: the lyceum students study their types and meanings.
Classes are conducted with a combination of theory and practice on a special computer simulator. The pupils learned to correctly adjust the seat according to height, adjust the rear-view mirrors to ensure maximum visibility, and to use seat belts without fail.
Such measures contribute to the development of attentiveness, discipline, self-control and responsibility.
